Meet the Practitioner | Owner - Dr. Cynthia Kent

I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals create meaningful, lasting change through personalized, evidence-based care. My mission is to empower each person—whether a child, teen, or adult—to better understand how their brain works and to take an active role in their mental and cognitive well-being. Using cutting-edge tools and targeted strategies, I guide clients toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-awareness—so they can move forward with confidence and lasting results.

Special Education Expert | IEP Advocate | Instructional Coach

Lianne McGinley is a highly experienced and compassionate educator with over a decade of service in K-8 education, specializing in special education instruction, IEP advocacy, and inclusive learning design. Holding a Master’s in Education and certification in Special Education (Mild to Moderate Disabilities), Lianne brings a deep understanding of educational law, equity, and best practices for supporting neurodiverse learners.

As a former Special Education Facilitator and Instructor in a local Phoenix School District, Lianne managed IEP compliance, designed and delivered professional development for educators, and provided direct instruction and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs. She has led cross-functional teams, partnered with families, and developed customized instructional materials to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed—whether in the general education classroom or a specialized setting. Lianne also serves as a Professional Development Trainer and Instructional Coach, where she trains educators across the country (and internationally recruited teachers) in trauma-informed practices, PBIS, MTSS frameworks, and inclusive classroom strategies. Her work empowers educators and families alike, bridging the gap between policy and practice.

Lianne began her journey as a client of Dr. Kent's, and the experience was truly life-changing. Dr. Kent's comprehensive, compassionate approach helped her understand her neurodivergent brain in ways never had before. Through detailed assessments, thoughtful conversations, and a deep understanding of brain-based science, Cynthia guided Lianne toward clarity and self-acceptance. With her support, she was finally able to identify the right medication and strategies that aligned with how her brain functions—not how it’s expected to. Her insight not only improved Lianne's day-to-day life, but also inspired her to extend the same kind of understanding and advocacy to the students and families Dr. Kent works with.

School Counselor | Life Skills Educator | Youth Advocate

Kim Meyer is a seasoned and passionate school counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development within K–12 settings. Currently serving as a School Social Worker in a Scottsdale School District, Kim provides direct services to a large student population, offering one-on-one support, group counseling, SEL instruction, and crisis intervention. Her services focus on mindset, coping skills, and social skills, helping students develop the emotional tools they need for success.

Kim’s career spans multiple impactful roles, including middle and high school academic advising and trauma-informed mentorship. She is also trained in supporting foster youth, McKinney-Vento-qualified students, and those navigating grief, divorce, and family transitions. She brings compassion, creativity, and clarity to every interaction.

Outside of her professional work, Kim is a lifelong learner and nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking, woodworking, salsa dancing, and spending time outdoors. Her dedication to student wellness and whole-person development makes her an invaluable advocate for youth and families alike.

From Struggles to Success: Client Journeys

"After years of trying different therapies for my son’s ADHD, nothing made the progress we’ve seen with neurotherapy. The brain map showed us exactly where he was struggling—and finally gave us answers. His focus has improved, he’s calmer at school, and we feel hopeful for the first time in a long time."
— Melissa T., parent of a 10-year-old

"I came in feeling overwhelmed, scattered, and stuck. Through neurofeedback and brain-based coaching, I’ve been able to manage stress, improve my focus at work, and even sleep better. The changes felt subtle at first but became undeniable. I only wish I’d done this sooner."
— David R., executive and entrepreneur

"I used to get so frustrated in school because I knew I was smart but couldn't stay focused or remember anything. After doing brain mapping and neurofeedback, things actually started to make sense. I don’t feel as overwhelmed anymore, and I’m doing better in school without feeling like I’m constantly trying to catch up."
— Jaden, age 16

"I’ve spent years in talk therapy, which helped me understand my anxiety—but I couldn’t shake the physical symptoms. Neurotherapy helped my brain finally calm down. For the first time, I feel like I’m not just coping—I’m actually healing."
— Alyssa M., age 32
